Set up in October 2008 Dance UL kicked off with a very successful first year gathering up to 300 members, winning the all Ireland Intervarsity competition 2009 and being awarded for “Best New Club 2009” in UL at the annual Clubs and Societies ball.
We teach a range of classes and are always trying to get more numbers for new classes. At the moment we hold classes in Ballet, Hip-hop, Break dancing, Jazz and Tap. These are all taught by extremely talented and successful dancers from Ireland.
The aim of the club is to make sure people get to have fun and meet new people while learning something cool...perhaps some new shapes to throw on the dance floor?? And worried about not fitting in because you’ve never danced before? ... Don’t be!
Plenty of our members join simply because it's their first time and they want to learn. Many end up entering competitions with us!
